Eesh...

Just..I used to be so weird.
Like, looking back at old conversations I have saved on my gmail account--
and seeing old pictures and stuff..
I don't know what was going through my head.

I'm glad I'm different now. At least mostly I think..

The Glory of being a Comic Geek

Is it so weird that I'm a girl who likes comics?
They're so weirdly alluring...
with their vivid splotches of color on their thin paper pages
bubbles holding characters' thoughts, their words.
Different angles, different backgrounds for different scenes.
Each scene a frozen frame of a scene, but all together they flow to make a movie.

Funny how I hunger for these more than makeup, or clothes, like most girls my age.
I wonder if it was in my genes, (because now they're doing studies to prove that
certain personality qualities, like being athletic, or into computer design, or more artistic,
etc.), might have something to do with your DNA, or if it was just something I grew into...

I guess the fact that I a)would rather doodle in my notebook during class, pictures of characters I've made (like my superhero who controls darkness, Midnight), or pictures depicting my favorite characters, like the members of the X-Men, rather than text under the table like everybody else is, b) go insane counting down the days till the new Wolverine movie comes out c) would rather hunt down my favorite comics online and at other stores than hunt down for the best clothes at the mall d) go to the ComiCon dressed as Rogue, and even more, just proves what I've confirmed already...

I am a comic geek.

And I am most definitely proud of it.

Pic #1: Rogue gets some claws

In the midst of battle, a Sentinel rips Wolverine's chest open (yes, that IS his spine and various guts you're looking at), and Rogue runs over to help him. He tells her to touch him and absorb his abilities so that someone can keep fighting while he heals. She is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees...and...SHAZAM!! I present to you Rogue (aka Marie), with awesome possum Wolvy claws. Yay!! Especially proud of this pic.

Poem #1: Silence

A poem for you.

Silence.
The golden warmth
Of Silence.
Glowing through the eternity
The blacknessOf voices
Constantly pulsing
like drums
While silence
Cools the heat and fire of the blind chatter
Numbing it all into empty
But oh-so-sweet
Silence.

First Blog Entry!!

I have decided to start a blog.
Inside this little blog, I will most likely talk about random stuff.
If I'm feeling particularly artistic, I will put up pictures I drew.
Or if I'm feeling wordsy, some poems I've written.
Or all of the above...at once. Or not. I guess you'll just have
to wait and find out!

:)
